Women in India traditionally wear a sari. It is a long piece of fabric that is wrapped around the body, tucked in and then draped over the shoulder. They wear them for both special occasions and for everyday. Women often wear lots of wooden or plastic bangles to go with their saris. They are usually brightly coloured.

Some people in India choose to wear a salwar kameez.
These are trousers (a salwar) and a top (a kameez) that go together to make a set. The trousers tend to be elasticated around the waist and the top is long, usually down to the knees.
These children's shoes are decorated with embroidery and would probably be for special occasions.
